When mounted in a tii station protector or network interface device (NID), the assembly is UL listed in the Signal Circuit Protector category.The gas tube recovers after a surge, and remains ready for continued operation XXnormally for many years.The over-current protection elements consist of PTC (Positive Temperature XXCoefficient) resistors and inductors.While inductors delay fast-rising surges from reaching the secondary protectors, XXthe PTCs prevent damage from induced currents.
